Your privacy is important to us at Tagg Me (“Tagg Me,” “Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy describes the practices of Tagg Me regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of user information. By using the Tagg Me website, mobile application, browser extension, and other online products and services (collectively, the “Online Services”), you consent to the information, collection, and handling practices outlined in this Privacy Policy.

 

Information Collection

The information we collect about you depends on how you interact with us. This section describes the categories of information we collect and where that information comes from.

 

1.1 Information You Provide to Us: We collect information you give us directly. This happens when you create a Tagg Me account, complete our style quiz, fill out a form, reach out to us for support, sign up for marketing communications, participate in a promotion or referral program, or interact with us in any other way. The information we collect directly from you may include your name, email address, phone number, username, style preferences, favorite items, and any other information you choose to share with us.

 

1.2. Information We Collect Automatically: When you use our Services, we automatically collect certain information about your activity, including: 

 

Device, Usage, and Activity Information: We collect information about how you access and use our Services, including details about the device and network you use, such as your device model, operating system version, mobile network, IP address, unique device identifiers, browser type, and app version. We also collect information about how you interact with our Services, including when and how you access them, which pages or features you view, and how you navigate within the app. When you have our browser extension installed, we also collect information about the retail sites you visit and your activity on those sites, including items you view, save, or add to a cart, and purchases you complete. This data is used to power your personalized feed and to manage our affiliate relationships.

 

Cookies and Similar Tracking Technologies: We use tracking technologies including cookies, pixels, SDKs, and similar tools to collect information about how you interact with our Services and marketing communications. These technologies help us understand usage patterns, personalize your experience, measure the effectiveness of our communications, and improve our Services over time. 1.3. Information We Collect from Other Sources: If you create or sign into your Tagg Me account using a third-party platform such as Apple or Google, we receive certain information from that platform, which may include your name, email address, profile picture, language preference, and any other information that platform makes available based on your authorization settings. If you use our Services to browse or interact with retailers, we may also receive information from those retailers about your transactions or interactions with their sites, including details about products you viewed or purchased.

 

1.4. Information We Derive: We draw inferences about you based on the information we collect. For example, we use your browsing behavior, in-app interactions, and purchase history to build and refine a taste profile that powers your personalized For You feed.

 

Use and Disclosure of Information

2.1. We use the information we collect to: 

• Provide, maintain, and improve our products and services, including your personalized For You feed, style recommendations, and cross-retailer discovery experience
• Learn your style preferences and build a taste profile that makes your Tagg Me experience more relevant over time
• Personalize your experience, including the products, brands, and content we surface for you
• Manage our affiliate relationships and track purchases completed through our Services
• Send you technical notices, security alerts, support messages, and other transactional communications related to your account
• Send you marketing communications, including offers, promotions, and product updates (see the Your Choices section below for information on how to opt out at any time)
• Monitor and analyze trends, usage patterns, and activity across our Services to improve performance and user experience
• Target advertisements to you on third-party platforms and websites (for more information and to opt out, see the Targeted Advertising and Analytics section below)
• Facilitate contests, sweepstakes, referral programs, and promotions, and process and deliver any associated rewards
• Detect, investigate, and protect against fraudulent, malicious, abusive, unauthorized, or unlawful activity, and help protect the rights and property of Tagg Me and our users
• Comply with our legal and financial obligations
• Carry out any other purpose described to you at the time the information was collected

 

Targeted Advertising And Analytics 

3.1. We work with third-party analytics providers and advertising partners to help us understand how our Services are used, measure the performance of our marketing, and deliver relevant advertising. To do this, we and our partners may use cookies, pixels, software development kits (SDKs), device identifiers, and similar tracking technologies to collect information about your activity on our Services and on other websites and apps. This may include your IP address, device information, browser type, pages viewed, time spent in the app, links clicked, purchase activity, and conversion information. 

 

This information is used to: 

• Understand how users interact with our Services and identify areas for improvement
• Measure the reach and effectiveness of our marketing campaigns
• Deliver advertising targeted to your interests on third-party platforms and websites
• Track and attribute purchases and referrals for affiliate program management

 

The third-party partners we work with for analytics and advertising may use this data independently in accordance with their own privacy policies. We work with partners across the following categories: product analytics, performance monitoring, affiliate tracking, and social media advertising.

 

If you prefer not to have your web browsing information used for behavioral advertising purposes, you can opt out through the Digital Advertising Alliance at www.aboutads.info/choices. Your mobile device may also include a setting that allows you to limit the use of information collected through apps for behavioral advertising purposes

3.2. When you install the Tagg Me browser extension for Chrome or Safari, we collect information about your activity on supported retail websites. This includes the retailer sites you visit, items you view, items you save or add to a cart, and purchases you complete. This data is collected passively in the background while you browse and is used exclusively to power your personalized For You feed, manage our affiliate relationships, and improve our recommendation engine. It is not sold to third parties or used to build a profile for purposes unrelated to Tagg Me.

 

You can stop this data collection at any time by disabling or uninstalling the extension in your browser settings.

 

Disclosure of Information

We disclose personal information as described in this Privacy Policy and in the following ways:

 

4.1. Service Providers and Contractors: We share information with third-party vendors, contractors, and service providers who perform functions on our behalf, including infrastructure and cloud hosting, app development and maintenance, analytics, email distribution, customer support, and data processing. These parties receive only the information necessary to perform their services and are required to protect your data to the same standard described in this Privacy Policy.

 

4.2. Affiliate and Retail Partners: When you interact with retailers through our Services or click through to a retailer from your Tagg Me feed, we share limited information with that retailer and with our affiliate network partners to facilitate your interaction and manage affiliate commissions. Once your information is shared with a retailer, that retailer’s own privacy policy governs how they handle it.

 

4.3. Advertising and Analytics Partners: We share information with our advertising and analytics partners as described in the Targeted Advertising and Analytics section above. These partners may use this information to deliver interest-based advertising and measure campaign performance in accordance with their own privacy policies.

 

4.4. Marketing Partners: We may share certain contact information with trusted third-party partners for the purpose of delivering relevant promotions, co-branded offerings, or joint products and services. You can opt out of receiving third-party marketing communications at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting us at hello@tagg.me.

 

4.5. Law Enforcement and Legal Process: We disclose personal information when we reasonably believe disclosure is required or permitted by law, including to: (1) comply with any applicable law, regulation, or legal process, such as a subpoena or government request; (2) enforce our Terms of Service or investigate potential violations; (3) detect, prevent, or respond to fraud, security incidents, or unauthorized use of our Services; or (4) protect the rights, property, or safety of Tagg Me, our users, or the public.

 

4.6. Professional Advisors: We share information with our legal, financial, insurance, and other professional advisors where necessary to obtain advice or otherwise protect and manage our business interests.

 

4.7. Corporate Transactions: If Tagg Me is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, sale of assets, or similar business transaction, your personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email or a prominent notice within the app of any change in ownership or material change in how your information is used, along with any choices available to you.

 

4.8. With Your Consent or at Your Direction: We share your personal information with third parties when you have given us your consent or directed us to do so.

 

We may also use and disclose aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably be used to identify you, without restriction.

Your Choices

5.1. Account Information: You can access, review, correct, and update certain personal information stored in your Tagg Me account at any time by logging in and navigating to your account settings. If you need assistance accessing or updating your information, you can contact us at hello@tagg.me.

 

5.2. Consent and Account Deletion: You may withdraw your consent to our collection and use of your personal information at any time by deleting your Tagg Me account. To request account deletion and the removal of your personal information, contact us at hello@tagg.me with the subject line “Data Deletion Request.” We will process your request within a reasonable timeframe and in accordance with applicable law. Please note that some information may be retained after deletion for legal, compliance, or fraud prevention purposes as described in the Data Retention section below.

 

5.3. Browser and Mobile Safari Extension: You can stop passive browsing data collection through the Tagg Me extension at any time by disabling or uninstalling it directly from your browser settings. Uninstalling the extension does not delete your Tagg Me account or the taste profile already built from prior activity. To request deletion of that data, follow the process in section 5.2 above.

 

5.4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies: You can adjust your browser settings to block or remove cookies at any time. Please note that disabling cookies may affect the functionality of certain features within our Services. Your mobile device may also include settings that allow you to limit tracking for advertising purposes.

 

5.5. Marketing and Promotional Emails: You can opt out of receiving marketing and promotional emails from us at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email we send. You may still receive transactional or account-related messages after opting out, such as security alerts or order confirmations.

 

5.6. Text Messages: If you have opted in to receive text messages from us, you can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message we send. For clarity, opting in to receive marketing text messages from Tagg Me does not authorize any third party to send you marketing texts on their own behalf.

 

5.7. Targeted Advertising: You can opt out of interest-based advertising by visiting the Digital Advertising Alliance at www.aboutads.info/choices. Your mobile device may also include a setting that limits the use of information collected through apps for behavioral advertising purposes. Note that opting out of targeted advertising does not mean you will stop seeing ads entirely, it means the ads you see will be less tailored to your interests.

 

Data Retention and Deletion 

6.1. How Long We Keep Your Information: We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with our Services. We also retain information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, and protect against fraud or misuse of our Services. The length of time we retain specific categories of information may vary depending on the nature of the information and the purposes for which it is used.

 

6.2. Account Deletion: You may request deletion of your Tagg Me account at any time by contacting us at hello@tagg.me with the subject line “Data Deletion Request.” We will process your request within a reasonable timeframe and in accordance with applicable law.

 

Upon account deletion, we will anonymize your personal information so that it can no longer be associated with you as an individual. Please note that anonymized data (meaning data that cannot reasonably be used to identify you) may be retained indefinitely for the purpose of improving our recommendation engine, training our personalization systems, and analyzing aggregate usage patterns. This anonymized data does not constitute personal information and is not subject to deletion obligations under applicable privacy law.

 

Please be aware that even following a deletion request, certain personal information may be retained for a limited period where necessary to: (1) comply with applicable legal obligations or regulatory requirements; (2) resolve open disputes or enforce existing agreements; (3) prevent fraud or protect the security of our Services; or (4) maintain necessary business or financial records. Once these purposes are fulfilled, the information will be anonymized or deleted.

Third-Party Links and Services

7.1. Our Services may contain links to third-party websites, retailers, and other online services. When you click through from Tagg Me to a retailer or any other third-party site, that site operates independently from us and has its own privacy policy governing how it handles your information. We are not responsible for the privacy practices, content, or security of any third-party sites and encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any personal information.

 

7.2. Our Services may also display content or advertisements from third-party advertising networks. These third parties may use cookies, pixels, and similar tracking technologies to collect information about your interactions with their content. Any information collected by these third parties is governed by their own privacy policies, not ours. Tagg Me is not responsible for the data practices of independent advertising partners and encourages you to review their policies directly.

 

Information Security 

8.1. Tagg Me implements and maintains physical, administrative, and technical safeguards designed to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. Access to sensitive personal information within our systems is restricted to personnel and service providers who have a legitimate business need for such access. We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for business, operational, or legal purposes.

 

8.2. While we work hard to protect your information, no security system is completely impenetrable and we cannot guarantee that unauthorized parties will never be able to circumvent our security measures. If you have reason to believe that your account has been compromised or that your interaction with us is no longer secure, please contact us immediately at hello@tagg.me.

 

8.3. In the event of a data breach involving your personal information, Tagg Me maintains incident response procedures and will notify affected users in accordance with applicable law, including any notification requirements imposed by state or federal privacy regulations.

 

Children’s Privacy

9.1. Tagg Me is intended for users 13 years of age and older. Our Services are not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you are under 13, please do not use our Services.

 

9.2. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take prompt steps to delete it. Parents or guardians who believe their child has provided us with personal information can contact us at hello@tagg.me.

 

California and State Privacy Rights

10.1. California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA): If you are a California resident, you have certain rights regarding your personal information under the California Consumer Privacy Act and the California Privacy Rights Act. These rights include:

• The right to know what personal information we collect about you, how we use it, and who we share it with
• The right to delete personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions
• The right to correct inaccurate personal information we maintain about you
• The right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information

10.2. Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information: We do not sell your personal information for monetary compensation. However, we may share certain information with advertising and affiliate partners in ways that may qualify as “sharing” under California law.
